Use Notes of Diaphragm Vacuum Pump

1. Diaphragm vacuum pump can only be used for air extraction, and a small amount of water vapor is also acceptable.
2. It is forbidden to allow corrosive liquids or particulate materials to enter the pump. First, filter out the oil contaminants and other liquids.
3. The working environment temperature cannot exceed 55 degrees.
4. Vacuum pumps cannot be used at high altitudes. Low air pressure in high altitudes will affect the product.
5. It is a precision instrument, and it is forbidden to get dirty and damp.
6. It is forbidden to start with pressure.

7. When the ultimate vacuum is not high:
(1) The oil level is too low and there is a loud exhaust sound. Adding clean diaphragm vacuum pump oil would be suggested.
(2) The pump oil is contaminated by condensable steam, and the gas ballast can be used to purify.
(3) The external pipes, containers, test instrument pipes, joints, etc. of the pump port are leaking. When there is a big leak, there will be a loud exhaust sound, and air will be discharged from the exhaust port. The leaking part should be found and eliminated.
(4) The rubber seal diagram of the air inlet nozzle or gas ballast valve is improperly assembled, damaged, or aged, and should be adjusted or replaced.
(5) The oil hole of the oil inlet nozzle is blocked, and the oil inlet nozzle can be pulled out to clear the oil hole.
(6) The vacuum system is seriously polluted, including containers, pipes, etc., which should be cleaned.
(7) Check whether the rotary leaf spring is broken and replace the broken ones in time.
(8) The rotating vane, pump body, or cover is worn, and the gap is too large. It should be inspected, repaired, or replaced.
(9) Improve the ventilation and cooling, if the pump temperature is too high. Cool it before entering the pump, if the pumped gas temperature is too high.

8. Fuel injection
(1) The oil level is too high, and excess oil can flow in and out.
(2) Remove the mist reducer, if there is debris or pump oil.

9. Oil spill
(1) The oil drain plug, the fuel tank gasket is damaged or improperly assembled, and the screw is tightened;
(2) The oil standard is not tightened, and the plexiglass is overheated and deformed;
(3) The connection gasket between the pump body part and the support is not properly seated;
(4) Improper or worn oil package; it should be adjusted or replaced.

10. Noise
(1) The spring of the rotary blade is broken and the spring can be replaced.
(2) If there are burrs, dirt, or deformation, and the operation is obstructed, it should be checked for grinding and cleaning.
(3) Bearing wear and parts wear should be repaired or replaced.
(4) The motor is faulty and should be checked.

11. Safety Precautions:

(1)Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), such as safety goggles and gloves, when operating the pump.
(2)Work in a well-ventilated area or use a fume hood if handling potentially hazardous chemicals.

12. Select the Right Pump:

Ensure that the diaphragm vacuum pump you choose is suitable for your specific application, including the required vacuum level and flow rate.

13. Proper Setup:

(1)Set up the pump on a stable and level surface to prevent vibrations or movement during operation.
(2)Ensure that all connections, hoses, and tubing are securely attached to the pump and the vacuum source.
