The most common uses of oil-free laboratory vacuum pumps include filtration with filter flasks or filter media; connection to vacuum drying ovens, with rotary evaporators; distillation flasks or reactors for reduced pressure distillation; and aspiration flasks and tips for cell culture waste and other post-experiment residues. Key points for installing laboratory oil-free vacuum pumps

1. Place the laboratory oil-free vacuum pump as far as possible in a location with good ventilation, little dust, low humidity, and a small ambient temperature below 40°C.
2. The base is fixed with rubber shock-absorbing feet or spring shock-absorbing.
3. A clean place without dust and dirt.
4. No water, oil, and other liquids will land on the oil-free vacuum pump.
5. No direct exposure to sunlight.
6. Adequate space around the pump to facilitate inspection, maintenance, and disassembly.
7. The inlet port should be connected to the 1/4-18NPT connector or other specification connector and inlet filter muffler and other devices, and connected to the pipe; the outlet port should be connected to the pipe or muffler.
8. The power supply used should have sufficient capacity and confirm that the voltage used meets the product requirements.
9. Connect the power supply and capacitor line according to the wiring requirements.
10. After checking that the components of the laboratory oil-free vacuum pump are not abnormal, plug the power cord into a power socket that meets the requirements and then start to work.

When connecting the pump to the piping, do not make it very long and try to make it smaller than the diameter of the pump, otherwise, it will affect the pumping speed of the machine at the same time, it is necessary to check that there are no air leaks in the pipes connected to the oil-free vacuum pump. When connected to the wire, be sure to pay attention to the wiring requirements on the motor plate. During the use of the three-phase pump, it is necessary to pay attention to the direction of rotation of the motor and the arrow pointing to the pump. Only then can bad damage be avoided.

We also should pay attention to the following matters when in use.
1. If a small amount of organic gas is inhaled during the working of the vacuum pump, in order to prevent the internal components from corrosion caused by the condensate of organic gas, the air should be pumped for at least 0.5-1h to evacuate.
2. It is forbidden to inhale liquid directly into the vacuum pump. If a small amount of liquid is inhaled during the working of the vacuum pump, the vacuum pump should be pumped at least 0.5-1h after the end of use, so as not to turn off the machine immediately.
3. The vacuum pump should not be pumped with overheated gas. If it is necessary to pump high-temperature gases for a long time, it is recommended to add a cold trap in front of the vacuum pump to reduce the temperature of the gases pumped into the vacuum pump.
4. Maintain good ventilation to facilitate heat dissipation and extend the life of the pump.
5. When used for vacuum drying oven, please note: Please open the vacuum valve of the vacuum drying oven first, start the vacuum pump to evacuate the oven, and then start the heating of the vacuum drying oven after reaching the required vacuum level.
6. When used for filtering device or waste liquid suction, please note: pour the liquid in the liquid collection bottle in time, the liquid will be directly pumped into the vacuum pump and will easily cause damage to the vacuum pump. If inadvertently pumping a small amount of liquid into the pump, please do not immediately turn off the vacuum pump, it is recommended that the pump tube connected to the vacuum pump be immediately removed so that the vacuum pump pumps air for at least 0.5-1h to empty; if inadvertently pumping a large amount of liquid into the vacuum pump, need to be sent to repair in a timely manner.
