Structure of oil-free vacuum pump

The structure is that the rotor is eccentrically mounted on the cylinder enclosed by the cylinder and the side end cover, and there is a gap between the rotor and the cylinder block. A number of sliders are installed in the grooves on the surface of the rotor. When the slider in the rotor is in contact with the cylinder wall under the action of centrifugal force, the space enclosed by the slider, the rotor, the cylinder block, and the side end cover change with the rotation of the rotor. When the four-slider pump rotates one revolution, four suction and exhaust processes are required.

1. Check that the pump is safely grounded.
2. A motor protection switch must be installed.
3. The exhaust pipe should be connected to the exhaust port to prevent dust from entering the pump.
4. Do not scratch the inlet and outlet flanges, so as not to damage the flanges and cause the vacuum to fail to rise.
5. Do not continue to use the damaged pump, otherwise, there will be dangers of injury, electric shock, or even damage to the pumping system.
6. The vacuum pump cannot work in corrosive, flammable, explosive gas or steam environment, otherwise, there will be dangers such as explosion and fire.
7. The inlet temperature must be lower than a certain point, otherwise, a cold trap must be added between the evacuated chamber and the pump inlet to cool down. HAWACH oil-free vacuum pump is equipped with a thermal cut-off protector. When the temperature of the pump reaches 130℃, it will automatically cut off the electricity, to protect the motor from damage. The body is designed with an automatic cooling and exhaust system, which can ensure continuous operation for 24 hours.
8. When pumping gas containing water vapor, open the gas ballast valve to pump the gas. The water vapor content of the pumped gas has certain requirements. Otherwise, the gas ballast valve life service will be shortened.
9. Do not move this pump by one or two persons. It should be handled, installed, configured, wired, operated, maintained, and inspected by professionals, otherwise, there will be a risk of electric shock, injury, or damage to the pump or even the vacuum chamber.
10. Do not touch the pump motor or metal parts when the pump is working or when it is just stopped (because it is very hot during work). If contact is really necessary, take necessary protective measures to prevent injury.
11. Install a shut-off valve at the air inlet. After the vacuum pump stops, the vacuum at the intake port decreases because the atmosphere at the exhaust port returns to the intake port, not because of the vacuum pump. To ensure the degree of vacuum in the vacuum chamber, a shut-off valve must be installed between the vacuum chamber and the pump.
12. The vacuum pump is used for pumping clean gas. It cannot pump toxic, flammable, explosive, corrosive gas or steam, chemicals, solvents, and powders, for example, special or high-concentration strong acid and strong alkaline gas containing national special chemical components, or high-concentration gas, organic solvent, crystallization gas, etc. in semiconductor technology. These gases can easily cause bearing failure. HAWACH has provided an anti-corrosion pump and the parts in contact with the gas are treated with Teflon surface treatment, which has complete resistance to chemical corrosion.

Oil-free vacuum pump maintenance

Oil-free vacuum pumps have become one of the most widely used vacuum pumps in the market. They do not produce oily fume, are easy to carry, and are pollution-free, and are well received by users. But how to maintain it is still bothering many operators. HAWACH has summarized several key points for your reference.

1. When the oil-free vacuum pump is in operation, tighten the base and the damping foot fixing bolts in advance, try to put it in a ventilated and clean place, and do not touch any components on it.
2. The cleaning of the air intake filter muffler and the cleaning of the filter muffler filter cotton is very important. It directly affects the flow rate and service life of the vacuum pump. The frequency is once a month. Before cleaning, unscrew the muffler, then take out the filter cotton, rinse it with water, and dry it before installing and using it. If the filter cotton cannot be cleaned after being used for too long, replace the filter.
3. Clean the outside of the cabinet. When the power is cut off, use a dry and soft cloth to clean the dust and dirt on the outside of the machine at least once a month.
4. When the oil-free vacuum pump is not used for a long time, it should be cleaned up and placed in a place with adequate and good ventilation. Liquids such as water and oil will not fall on the pump. Don’t expose yourself to the sun directly.
5. For better maintenance, machine check, and disassembly or assembly of the vacuum pump, enough space is required.
6. The pump is installed on a similar concrete hard foundation. If there is no condition, the pump can also be firmly installed on a steel frame or wooden frame.
8. It must be ensured that the pump will not vibrate due to a weak foundation.
9. The connecting pipe with the oil-free vacuum pump should not be too long or smaller than the inlet diameter of the pump, otherwise, the pumping speed will be affected. At the same time, pay attention to check whether the vacuum connection pipe is leaking.
10. Learn the wiring requirements on the motor nameplate before wiring. For three-phase electric pumps, we should pay attention to the direction of motor rotation consistent with the direction of the arrow marked on the pump.
